The SCHIC was established to implement recommendations on improving heritage management on St. Eustatius previously made by the Statia Heritage Research Commission (SHRC), according to the Statia Government's Decree No. 25, 6th September 2022.

International Association for Caribbean Archaeology (IACA)

I was voted into the Board of IACA as a Director at the Congress in Cuba. At this Congress I was also voted in as the Board representative on the Ethical Conduct Panel that reviews potential cases of violations of the IACA Code of Ethics.

BABAO was founded in 1980 to further the understanding of the physical development of humanity by forming a community of professionals and students.

The NVFA was founded in 1983 to encourage communication and collaboration between bioanthropologists in The Netherlands and Belgium. It organises three events per year.

IACA was founded in 1962 to bring together professional and amateur archaeologists working in the Caribbean region. Between Congresses in 2019 and 2022, a working group updated the Code of Ethics.
